It’s Saturday night, 1140 pm. I am in the guest bathroom. The annoying gray cat is here with me. Why do I have only annoying cats? This one isn’t even ours. It’s our daughters cat. She is off galvanting in Hawaii and left the cat with us. Didn’t even ask if we wanted to watch him. We didn’t. But he is here.
I am going to skip writing about yesterday. I know I worked about fifteen hours. Enough said.
Today we got up at 630. Would have been great to sleep in but no. Emiky wanted to get her car serviced early since she is headed to Petaluma later on. So up and moving and off to Auburn Honda with the car. We dropped it and went for coffee. I like the new place, Mossions Coffee. There coffee is very good esp when compared to what Starbucks has to offer. We had rushed out of the house so I did not make a pot.
We went back to the house. I still have to find a set of two green folders, client info. The client dropped it off back when we were moving and we presume the folders got packed. We had a moving company that packed up a lot of our stuff. When we moved into the house we brought all our boxes, some went into the house and some went into the storage shed here on the property. Shed is about 14x 10 so holds a lot of boxes. Right now it’s full, top to bottom, side to side, high and tight. And there are two slim 9×12 inch folders in there.
We spent three hours pulling out boxes and looking inside. We checked all. No folders. I went to work. Emiky stayed home and met up with her sister. She did not go to Petaluma. She says tomorrow. It’s a busy weekend for her.
So work. What did I do? Oh yeah, I prepped tax returns like a chain smoker goes thru a pack of Pall Malls. I just kept going and going.
Funny thing happened though. About 8pm a client called. No, that’s not the funny part. He asked about his crap and I went through the large stack of files next to my desk. Did not find his. Did find two blue, not green, files. Yes the 3 weeks missing ones. I called Emily and she was thrilled. I called the color blind client and let him know. I should be mad since I was looking for the wrong color but I was too relieved to be mad.
Finished up my ebmvening at 1030 and took the race car hone.
Emiky had not made dinner. I ate a can of chunk chicken I found in the cupboard. Played with the cat. Took the dog out and hit the hay.
