It was raining again today. We are still in summer, barely, and it’s raining. I want to keep summer for a couple more weeks. Supposed to be warm tomorrow.
It took some hounding to get Marika out of bed to go to the gym. I know she wants to be in better shape and thinner but sleeping is her favorite activity. It’s quite the conundrum for her.
Last workout on Monday destroyed Marika. She was still claiming she was sore from it during today’s workout. I think she whines too much. I am sore and just work through it. She needs to be more like me.
Today’s workout was not as tough as Monday’s but it still was an ass kicker. Marika is now complaining about today so that’s an improvement.
Not much else of interest at the gym today.
Got home after and got ready for work. Got out at usual time to work. It rained the entire drive down which slowed me down, of course. So I got to work a little later than usual.
I am leaving for a personal appointment at 4 so I probably won’t get much done. Will have to leave by 3 to get there on time. Only be here in the office for four hours at most. Which I don’t mind too much.
I can’t even remember what I did while I was there. Emails, answered some phone calls. Drank a cup of coffee. I just have no memory. It’s for the best.
Left the office at 3. Got to my appointment on time and I had to wait a half hour anyway. What a crock. I did finally get in and get done. Just in time to join the 5 o’clock traffic.
Drive hone truly stunk. Very slow, clogged roads, just great. I stopped for to go to add to whatever I make for dinner. That was fine.
Got home, fed the dog. Made a salad. Warmed up some leftovers. Emily got home and we had dinner.
Spent the evening watching the best TV ever. Emily did work. Another fine day seized. Right.
