A Good Night

A little release of my stress and what happens. I sleep like a rock. It was crazy. Woke up briefly at 4 to perform Gods work and slept straight to the alarm. Now isn’t that just awesome? Yes it is. All is right in the universe. That means it wont be by the end of the day.

Our morning was again the same. No excitement, no problems, nothing. Little to discuss.

My Friday was special. I have an appointment at the DMV to pick up new personalized plates for the S2000. I ordered them months ago and it took forever for them to get here. Why I had to make an appointment is a complete mystery. And it took thirty minutes. But, in the end, I got them – XEROTX2. Think about it.

I had a few errands more on the way to work. I needed to go by the bank and get a copy of an old check. Seems a client of mine thinks he never received a refund from me for an overpayment. Moron. I am going to shove it in his face later today. I really don’t like the guy and never have.

Next stop, the downtown coffee spot that has become my favorite. A really nice cappuccino was in my view. Enjoyable and sweet. And still overpriced. I can pup up with that for a great coffee.

Where next? Went to West Sac to Auto Vault. That’s where I store the S2000 since we moved and have no garage. I went there to give them the plates to put on my car. That way when I pick it up it will be ready for driving.

Next stop was to the bank and liquor warehouse. Bit, my mind shut off so I went to the office. I am a homing pigeon.

The office held no enchantments. I had a meeting about 30 minutes after I got there. This is the guy I spoke of earlier who is a moron. He wants to meet to discuss his “overcharges”. He does not realize, as I stated, I refunded his overpayment. I guess he assumes I don’t keep track. Like I said, a moron.

He came in and started into it. I let him stick his foot deep in his mouth about it and only then did I show him the refund he received. Asshole. And he said he did not remember. No apology for his stupidity. What a dick. I sent him on his way and told him to enjoy working with a new accountant. Good riddance.

Next up something better. Walker and I met to discuss our menu of services, recently created and modified. We taped about for about 30 minutes. We also had a couple shots of tequila too. I have a gift bottle in my office. And we both enjoy a wee nip of the Mexican. Believe me, it helped.

Well, that leaves a lot of time. The day was filled with the usual. Plus a lot of calls and email regarding the new house. All contingencies are cleared so we are ready. Now we are arguing over the difficult matter of signing the docs. Plus a few other items. I hate the title officer and it’s possible we change to a new title co. Or a lawyer. Everything has to be difficult. I did receive a quote for homeowners insurance which was the last contingency. Price not to bad but policy could be crap.

I did finally run my errands from this morning. Went to the bank and deposited. Then to Total Wine for champagne. We are having a small celebration of the new house closing. Nothing too big. Just the champagne. I brought an ice chest and ice with me. I plan ahead.

Back to work and finished up whatever it was I was doing. I left for hone around 530.

In spite of all dire things warnings, the wind was easy and the rain was gentle. No issues on my commute. It was actually a relaxing drive.

At home, I popped the cork about the time I walked through the door. No sense in waiting. We downed the bottle in about 15 minutes. Hey, it’s Dom. No sense in waiting.

We decided to go out for Indian food for dinner. The storm has become quite strong. But we are going anyway. We went to our fave, Punjabi Dhaba, in Dixon. They have a buffet, fairly priced, and delicious. Seems I always get the buffet. We all did.

Back home, Marika packed up and went back to Petaluma. She has a class and work tomorrow. She left Vlad. Lucky us.

We again watched bad TV. Then bad news. Emiky went to bed without me. I will show her, I am going to bed now too.
