End o’ Week

Very exciting beginning to my day. I mean, of course, after feeding all the critters and people. And packing lunch. And eating breakfast. Shower. Dressed. I think you get it.

I had to head out to the post office. Emily bought something and the vendor said the post office was holding the package. No tracking number, no door tag. I figures going to the PO was a fools errand but that’s what I do for my wife. When I got to the PO they asked for a tracking number or a door tag. Surprise. No box.

I next went to her bank to make a deposit. With my money. Again, I do things for her.

Now, though, it’s my turn. Went home and called Uber. I need to go to the auto shop and pick up the new HRV. The grill was broken when we got it and the dealer took the car later and fixed it. I had to Uber to get there, no free ride available. I did not get the usual conversation with the driver. I quite enjoy that. I was on the phone with Hal for 30 minutes while driving to the dealer.

Car was beautiful. I grabbed and gone. Off to work.

Not much going at work. Cara in only a half day. She is going to Guayabitos tomorrow. For a week. Today she left early to take supplies to her Dad and evil stepmother. They are snowed in a bit. Snow and a tree fell over their super long driveway. And their power has been out for a week. Anyhow, she brought in rescue supplies.

The day was all taxes. All the time. Very little else.

My only appointment was at 6. Couple coming in to pick up their partnership taxes and then get their individual done. The managing partner had called me last week and asked questions about how to break up a partnership. Just a little foreshadowing. So I figured a split was on the way.

They arrived and we got into the tax talk. About 5 minutes in I got a call, someone was outside, building locked after 5, and they needed in. So I go let them in. It’s the other two partners. And some guy I don’t know. So they all come in. And my client says we are going to the front office you stay here and work in our personal taxes. Ok. So they go out front and start to argue. In their native Indian or Urdu or whatever the hell they speak. Turns out the other guy was a moderator of sorts. They went on and on for 30 minutes. Bye, I had no idea they had planned a meeting for MY office. Freak show.

The argument finally ended. The others left. I finished the taxes and sent them on their way. To freakin weird.

I shut down right after. It was near 8. I went hone. Stopped for take out and went home.

Emiky and I ate dinner, and went to bed soon after. No time for bad TV. It’s late.
